“The Seller Disclosure Tool is more than just a compliance solution. It’s peace of mind for every real estate professional and sets a new benchmark of support in Queensland,” said Alex Antal, Head of Securexchange.

“We know the Seller Disclosure Regime introduces more responsibility, and we’ve built a tool that not only helps agents stay compliant, but a workflow that does the work for them,” he said.

“By simplifying complex legislative requirements, the Seller Disclosure Tool empowers agents to manage the disclosure process accurately and efficiently.”

What is the Seller Disclosure Regime and what does it mean for real estate agents?

The introduction of the Seller’s Disclosure Regime follows the passing of the Property Law Bill 2023, which replaces the Property Law Act 1974. Under the new laws, property sellers must provide a prospective buyer with a disclosure statement and prescribed certificates before a contract of sale is signed. This applies to both residential and commercial properties, and real estate agents are now responsible for preparing and delivering these documents on behalf of sellers.

The REIQ has provided further guidance to help agents understand these requirements.

Manage the changes with confidence

With the Seller Disclosure Regime around the corner, it’s more important than ever to show you’re ahead of the curve. By using the Seller Disclosure Tool, you demonstrate that you’re not only compliant, but leading the way in delivering a professional and transparent client experience.
